Biography
Jazz musician Alba Pujals, originally from Barcelona, currently resides in New York where she is pursuing her Master´s Degree in Jazz Performance at the prestigious Juilliard School led by the trumpeter and composer Wynton Marsalis.
Alba enjoys an international career as part of New York, Barcelona, and European jazz scenes and has performed in numerous prestigious venues and festivals around the world such as Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola (NYC), Jazz at Lincoln Center (NYC), Bimhuis (NL), North Sea Jazz Festival (NL), Palau de la Música (BCN), and Festival Jazz de Terrassa (BNC), among others.

She is the leader of “Two Slides”, a unique jazz quintet featuring her original compositions with two trombones, voice and flute. She is a member of The Bop Collective, led by the saxophonist Irene Reig, Smack Big Dab, and The Penguins. A frequent collaborator, Alba has shared the stage with well-known bands such as The Gramophone All Stars and New Cool Collective.
Prior to her studies at Juilliard, Alba received two Bachelor´s degrees in Europe. The first of which is her Bachelor´s of Music in Classical at ESMuC in Barcelona, followed by her Bachelor´s of Music in Jazz at Conservatorium Van Amsterdam.
